There appears no potential for self-tightening or inadvertent ligature effects. The positioning of buckles and so forth makes neuromuscular compression also unlikely. The system seems to operate without having to be very tight- thus minimising the risk of soft tissue crash injury. The avoidance of a chest or abdominal restrain strap mitigates against interference in normal ventilation through compartment compression. The elements can be rapidly released in the event of medical problems. All in all, this thus appears a simple, effective system with minimal risk to the subject on whom it is deployed.’”
