Conflict Management and Physical Intervention Programmes

A lot of situations involving conflict can be avoided or resolved with good customer service and positive communication skills. However, risks to personal safety are increased in some staff roles and environments, especially where there is a risk of crimes being committed, such as theft or assaults by customers. Alcohol of course can be an associated factor in aggressive behaviour and physical assaults.

Staff exposed to these greater risks such as customer service staff, sales assistants or front of house staff and supervisors benefit greatly from our Conflict Management and Physical Intervention Training programmes.

Our training programmes give your staff the knowledge and awareness to understand the triggers for conflict, recognise the signs when people are getting angry and aggressive and the skills to diffuse and resolve the conflict. In addition they’ll get the practical ‘real life’ skills to escape a situation that is becoming out of control despite their best efforts.
